Nate Beers – THPP
Case Manager
At the end
of high school, I began working with kids at Summer Camp,
and continued serving children and teens while attending
college in church youth groups and after-school care
settings. After graduating Messiah College with a B.A. in
Christian Ministries, I got married, and my wife, Christy,
and I spent a year abroad in various nations. During this
time, I mentored youth in Kenya, gave guitar lessons in
Honduras, and taught English to second-graders in Thailand.
We returned home to Delaware and became short-term foster
parents while I gained experience as a preschool teacher.
Then, after moving to California, I joined the Krista team
and began working with Transitional Housing teenagers. My
wife and I are planning for future work overseas,
strategizing to bring social justice and spiritual revival
to the urban poor.
